Job summary

Chard Development Ltd. is hiring a Concierge for The Cascades in Vancouver. You’ll be the welcoming first contact for residents and guests, delivering a polished front-of-house experience with discretion and care.

Responsibilities include greeting residents, coordinating deliveries, answering questions, and supporting safety and access control while upholding Chard’s Uncommon Care philosophy. This hourly role pays $22 per hour, with annual earnings between $41,600 and $45,760.

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience in a front-of-house, hospitality, or residential setting preferred.
  • Calm, polished, and professional presence, especially during evenings/overnight shifts.
  • Genuine service mindset and pride in delivering thoughtful care to residents and guests.
  • Strong communication skills with discretion and boundaries.
  • Sound judgement and comfort supporting safety and access control.
  • Attention to detail and high standards for presentation and organization.
  • Reliability and accountability, able to work independently within the site team.

  • Uphold safety and security protocols with consistency and sound judgement.
  • Handle sensitive situations calmly and escalated appropriately.

What This Role Is All About

As the Concierge at The Cascades, you are the first impression and daily point of connection for residents and guests. You deliver a refined, welcoming front-of -house experience through attentive service, calm professionalism, and thoughtfulfollow-through. By anticipating needs, handling requests with discretion, and maintainingan environment that feels orderly, welcoming, and well cared for, you set the standard for how the community is experienced. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Welcome residents, guests, and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and attention, creating a calm and polished first impression every time.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact at the front desk, responding to questions, requests, and concerns with care, discretion, and clear follow-through.
  • Anticipate resident needs by staying aware of daily activity in the building and proactively offering support where it adds value.
  • Coordinate and manage deliveries, service appointments, and visitor access to ensure smooth, well organized flow throughout the community.
  • Maintain the front-of-house environment to a high standard, ensuring common areas feel orderly, welcoming, and thoughtfully presented.
  • Support resident move-ins, moveouts, and special moments with a steady, attentive presence that reinforces a sense of ease and belonging.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Property Management, Maintenance, and Resident Services to ensure resident needs are addressed promptly.
  • Uphold building safety and security protocols with consistency, professionalism, and sound judgement.
  • Handle sensitive situations calmly and respectfully, escalating issues appropriately while maintaining trust and confidence.
  • Deliver service aligned with Chard’s Uncommon Care philosophy and the 5 Keys to Service: Safety, Charm, Detail, Efficiency, Belonging.
What You’ll Bring
  • Previous customer service experience in a front-of-house, hospitality, or residential setting, with Concierge experience strongly preferred.
  • A calm, polished, and professional presence, particularly during evenings or overnight shifts when you may be the primary on site contact.
  • A genuine service mindset and pride in delivering thoughtful, consistent care to residents and guests.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport while maintaining discretion and appropriate boundaries.
  • Sound judgement and comfort supporting safety, access control, and sensitive situations with confidence and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and a strong standard for presentation, organization, and follow-through.
  • Reliability and accountability, with the ability to work independently while staying aligned with the broader site team and Uncommon Care philosophy.

This is an hourly role at a rate of $22 per hour, with an expected annual earning range of $41,600 to $45,760 depending on scheduled hours.
