Overview

We are seeking a Computational Research Expert to join our Research & Development Center (R&DC).

R&DC conducts strategic research, development, and demonstration programs to support Aramco’s innovation goals. We are currently exploring several technology development opportunities in strategic and downstream research.

Your primary role involves researching emerging computing technologies and their applications to address grand challenges related to CO2 emissions and renewable energy, through the development of innovative materials. This role provides access to one of the largest computing clusters worldwide, innovation hubs that accelerate technology development, and state-of-the-art laboratories, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration with leading institutes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research projects focused on AI for material discovery, optimization, and control.
• Identify collaboration opportunities with leading institutes and organizations to facilitate technology commercialization.
• Liaise with stakeholders to deploy in-house technological solutions.
• Conduct outlook studies on emerging technologies in accelerated material discovery.

Minimum Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computational Science or Engineering; a PhD is preferred.
• At least 5 years of research experience, including postdoctoral work.
• Proven track record in conducting advanced technical projects, connecting basic science research with industrial applications.
