Overview

We are seeking a Computational Research Expert to join our Research & Development Center (R&DC).

R&DC conducts strategic research, development, and demonstration programs supporting Aramco’s innovation initiatives. We are currently pursuing multiple technology development projects in strategic and downstream research.

Your primary role is to conduct research on emerging computing technologies and their applications to address grand challenges related to CO2 emissions and renewable energy through the development of innovative materials. This role offers access to one of the largest computing clusters worldwide, innovation hubs that accelerate technology development, and state-of-the-art laboratories fostering multidisciplinary collaboration with leading institutes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research projects focused on AI for material discovery, optimization, and control.
• Identify collaboration opportunities with leading institutes and organizations to explore technology commercialization.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure deployment of in-house technology options.
• Conduct outlook studies on emerging technologies in accelerated material discovery.

Minimum Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Science or Engineering; a PhD is preferred.
• At least 5 years of research experience, including postdoctoral work.
• Proven track record in conducting advanced technical projects connecting basic science research with industrial applications.
