Job summary

F/LIST CANADA is seeking a finance professional to lead monthly closings, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure cross-border compliance in a multi-currency environment including USD and CAD. The role requires adapting to Canadian and U.S. accounting standards within a dynamic, international team.

You will collaborate across departments, participate in audits, and manage GST/HST, QST, and U.S. tax coordination while supporting tax reporting and strengthening internal controls and ERP

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. accounting principles and regulations.
• Working knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. tax requirements.
• Understand legal and contractual concepts affecting finance and compliance.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and account reconciliations.
• Maintain oversight of general ledger accounting activities and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded, reviewed, and booked in accordance with Canadian and/or U.S. accounting standards, company policies, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian and/or U.S. accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities and financial analysis.
• Manage GST/HST, QST, and/or U.S. sales tax and other indirect tax compliance requirements.
• Support corporate tax reporting and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Provide guidance on cross-border transactions and multi-entity accounting matters.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain required documentation.
• Strengthen internal controls and finance processes in a multi-currency environment (USD/EUR/CAD).

• Possess strong knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. accounting principles and regulations.
• Have working knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. tax requirements.
• Understand legal and contractual concepts affecting finance and compliance.
• Have advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Due to our international business environment and close collaboration with our headquarters in Austria and subsidiaries worldwide, strong English communication skills are required.
