POSITION: Compounding Team Assistant

LOCATION: Oshawa, Ontario

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent, full time, on-site

HOURS WORKED: 37.5/week

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic, and hardworking Compounding Team Assistant (CTA) to join our growing team! The CTA will help the compounding team with various tasks. Working in a dynamic environment, the candidate shall be adaptable, dependable and a team player. Hours of work will be Monday - Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

General Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Performing tasks to support the Compounding Team in preparing medication products (e.g. sterile filtration test, particulate inspection of prefilled pumps, preparation reconciliation paperwork)
  • Printing and affixing various labels on compounded preparations e.g. ophthalmic drops and injections, antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral medications, and prefilled syringes and pumps
  • Packaging various drug products according to health and safety standards (e.g. Credo boxes with temperature data logger, bags)
  • Processing, filling and billing compounded preparation orders
  • Maintaining an inventory of supplies and drug preparations using computer software and tools
  • Arranging and scheduling compounded product deliveries to patient care centers and facilities
  • Scanning and filing documentation
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies and regulations at all times
  • Keeping a clean and organized workspace at all times
  • Assisting the Compounding Team with any other tasks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience in an office or pharmacy environment is an asset
  • A positive and hardworking attitude
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Google G Suites preferred
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs boxes around an office environment
