Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Alberta is hiring a Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room of a retirement residence. You will assist with setting up dining rooms, serve meals to residents and guests, and help with tray service and cleanup to ensure a warm, social mealtime experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, preferably in senior living
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to lift and move heavy items and stand for long periods
• Second language is an asset
• VPS screening within 6 months or upon hire

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional manner
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining areas
• Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness
• Assist with catering and special occasions and events
• Assist in orientation and training of new culinary employees
• Follow health & safety policies and provincial regulations
• Attend staff meetings and participate in Quality Improvement
