Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring caring staff to support residents across Canada. The role focuses on building harmonious relationships with residents, families and staff while assisting with mobility needs and safe transportation within the facility. You will contribute to a compassionate, respectful living environment.

CPR/First Aid certification is required, and a clean driving record is essential. Candidates should be prepared for training, team collaboration, and ongoing quality improvement

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong written and verbal English skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (ON - Class F; MB/AB/BC - Class 4).
• Will have proof of current, valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months) or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with residents, their families and employees.
• Assist residents with care requirements (walkers/wheelchairs) while entering and exiting the facility vehicle.
• Transport residents in the facility vehicle to various scheduled locations, outings and events.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Uphold and promote Resident Rights & Responsibilities and ethics, morality, and integrity.
• Attend in-service training as required to better serve residents.
• Attend staff meetings to stay aware of changes in Residence.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Work in a position of trust with vulnerable adults (residents).
• Complete other duties as assigned.
