Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a compassionate Bus Driver to transport residents to activities and events at residences nationwide. You will ensure safety, assist residents with mobility, and uphold the rights and well-being of seniors in a respectful, supportive environment.

Required are a valid driver''s license with a clean record (Ontario Class F; Manitoba/Alberta/BC Class 4), current CPR/First Aid, and a Vulnerable Sector Check within six months.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong written and verbal English skills.
• Must possess a valid and applicable class of driver''s license, with a clean driving record.
• ON - Class F
• MB AB BC - Class 4
• Proof of current CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience with seniors is an asset
• Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months) or be willing to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Assist residents with care requirements during loading/unloading and while entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Transport residents to scheduled locations, outings and events.
• Undertake other duties as assigned and uphold Resident Rights.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Contribute to the Quality Improvement Program and work in a role of trust with vulnerable adults.
