Job summary

Shannex Incorporated is hiring a Personal Support Worker to join the Parkland on Eglinton West team in Etobicoke, Ontario. The role focuses on compassionate, professional care for residents, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

You will work within a supportive team, providing daily living assistance, care planning support, and engaging residents in activities, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a long-term care or senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Care Worker course or equivalent.
• Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
• Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset.
• Experience with elderly in long-term care or senior living is an asset.
• CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities (bathing, dressing, oral care, meals, mobility).
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized Resident Care Plans.
• Assist in planning and implementing resident leisure activities daily.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties.
• Perform delegated nursing acts per policy and scope of practice.
• Communicate and report relevant resident care or safety information to the Supervisor.
