Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to deliver compassionate daily living assistance to residents in our Ontario senior living communities. Certification as a PSW or being an internationally educated nurse is required, with strong teamwork, communication, and empathy valued.

Qualifications

• PSW certification from a certified educational facility or internationally educated nurse
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one

Responsibilities

• PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet residents' needs, including ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support
• PSWs document completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform and communicate changes in resident care needs to clinical leads

Education
