Job summary

Halton Region, a non-profit employer operating three long-term care homes, is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker to assist with activities of daily living and resident well-being at Allendale Long Term Care Facility, Milton. You will work under registered staff, ensuring respectful, person-centered care and effective communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• PSW program completed (HSCPOA registry) or currently registered with HSCPOA in good standing.
• Secondary School Diploma and a recognised PSW certificate.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and adapt to resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents and assist with activities of daily living.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff and families.
• Deliver friendly, respectful customer service and maintain a home-like atmosphere.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ status and document data.
• Collaborate with team members and follow directions from registered staff.
