Job summary

The City of St. Thomas is seeking a Personal Support Worker for the Adult Day Program on a permanent, part-time basis. The role involves delivering approved activities, assisting with personal care, and ensuring client safety and dignity in a supportive day program setting.

You will coordinate with the Senior Supervisor, maintain program records, and participate in training to support growth and quality care for adults in a community program environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school diploma with PSW program completion.
• Experience with seniors or in long-term care is an asset.
• Computer knowledge is an asset.
• Valid class F driver's license or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of approved recreation programs and engagement of clients.
• Provide personal care, hygiene support, meals, and basic nail care.
• Maintain daily program records and monitor participation.
• Work as part of a team to support program mission and policies.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and report hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
