Job summary

Qualicare is seeking Personal Support Workers to deliver one-on-one in-home care. You will work with clients who require daily assistance and companionship, ensuring safety and dignity in a home setting. Team coordination and adherence to care plans are essential.

Ideal candidates have a PSW certificate, CPR/First Aid, and experience with bedbound clients or Hoyer lifts. Training, flexibility, and opportunities for advancement are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• PSW Certificate required and current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Covid vaccinations completed as part of health requirements.
• Hoyer lift experience and bedbound care exposure are assets.
• Police record check (Vulnerable Sector) cleared or willingness to obtain.
• TB test or chest X-ray as part of health screening.
• Reliable internet access and a mobile phone required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning and evening care routines.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping for a safe home setting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with ambulation, outings, and errands as needed.
• Support with medication reminders and basic health tasks.
• Follow and update care plans; maintain documentation and charting.
• Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.
