Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Personal Support Worker to support patients in home and community settings, helping with daily living activities, feeding, hygiene, and mobility. This role emphasizes compassionate care and reliable scheduling to improve quality of life.

In addition to completing meals and basic housekeeping, you will travel within a defined geographic area to reach patients' residences, ensuring consistent, respectful support in the community.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
• Reliability and flexibility.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from patient’s residences within a geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan.
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help your patients enjoy a better quality of life.
