Job summary

Bayshore Home Health – Complex Care Branch in Kitchener, ON is seeking a highly skilled Personal Caregiver to provide home care services. You will support clients in daily living, safety, and comfort, delivering compassionate care in a home setting.

Completion of an accredited caregiver program is required, with English communication essential and French beneficial. A reliable transportation option is preferred, and a clear background check is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving and customer service.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and spoken); French is an asset.
• Provide high-quality care using current community care practices.
• Physical ability to assist with movement and lifting up to 23 kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide homemaking tasks: cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management.
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities.
• Administer personal care as per care plan directives.
• Maintain client safety and comfort to the highest standard.
• Assist with activities of daily living tailored to client needs.
• Perform procedures within training while showing competency.
• Observe and document client conditions; report changes promptly.
• Adhere to infection prevention practices.
