Job summary

The City of Greater Sudbury is hiring for Pioneer Manor as a part-time Laundry/Housekeeping Assistant. The position works at 960 Notre Dame Ave and offers a pay range of $28.96 to $29.57 per hour. You will help keep residents’ rooms clean and safe, support daily operations, and participate in training and safety protocols.

Shifts include days, afternoons and weekends. A vulnerable sector check and TB test are required if selected; applicants outside Canada may also apply.

Qualifications

• Secondary school completion (Grade XII) or equivalent.
• GPA training required for Lodge Home Area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary and comfortable environment in the Home.
• Prepare resident rooms and handle housekeeping-related supplies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns and provide courteous service to residents, staff and visitors.
• Move furniture and clean floors, washrooms, rooms and offices.
• Observe and report concerns such as smoking and unsafe electrical appliances.
• Attend training sessions as scheduled.
