Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a Home Support Worker to help community members live safely at home by assisting with daily tasks and self-care. Training is provided through a 3-week program, after which full-time hours and benefits become available.

Responsibilities include visiting patients for multiple home visits daily, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to visit patients’ residences within a designated area.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Ability to pass Criminal Background screening prior to hire.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the patient’s well-being.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.
