Job summary

ParaMed Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Part-time Home Support Worker to provide in-home care across communities. You will travel between patients, assist with meals, housekeeping, personal care, and companionship to support daily living needs.

The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and willingness to visit patients in their homes, with potential for full-time hours after training. Valid driver’s license and vehicle access are required.

Qualifications

• Compassion and listening skills.
• Passion for helping the community.
• Willingness to visit patients' residences in designated areas.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.
