ParaMed is Canada’s leading home health care provider, delivering a range of services including nursing, therapeutic, personal care, and home support across Canada.

The role involves traveling to patients’ homes, assisting with meals, personal hygiene, and daily living activities, while providing companionship and supportive care to seniors in a designated area. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work alternating weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Compassion and listening skills.
• Willingness to visit patient residences within a designated area.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
• Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients for home visits.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Assist with basic housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for activities of daily living.
