Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a part-time Health Care Aide for the Morinville Home Care — Home Living program. You will provide personal care and support in clients' homes across the Suburban/Rural West, following a care plan and collaborating with the care team.

Under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, you will assist with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety, document care, and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for Alberta CLHA registration as Health Care Aide.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (HCP) is required.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry medical bags weighing 25–30 lbs.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes and various settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist nurses with routine care and observe patients' mood, health, and wellbeing.
• Document care provided and communicate with the multidisciplinary team.
