Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Fairview is seeking a Health Care Aide to join a multidisciplinary team, providing personal assistance and support with activities of daily living for patients in long-term care settings.

You will assist nurses with routine care, monitor patients' mood, health and safety, and contribute to care plans across home, community and facility-based care. Certification within 18 months is required and AUPE AUX represents the union.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of Health Care Aide education or completion within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support with activities of daily living for patients.
• Assist nurses with routine care and observe/report patient wellbeing.
• Collaborate with patients, families and care teams across care settings and maintain a safe environment.
