Job summary

Arbor Memorial Inc. is seeking a Funeral Director Assistant at Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery in Brampton, Ontario. You will support Funeral Directors, greet families, and assist with removals and transfers as needed, delivering compassionate service during difficult times.

This part-time, casual position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication. You should be able to lift up to 35 pounds and work with a dedicated team to ensure respectful, personalized funeral

Qualifications

Passion for customer care and compassion in client interactions.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds.
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently or in a team.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist families upon arrival at the funeral home.
Assist with removals and transfers of decedents to the funeral home or crematorium.
Prepare rooms during visitations, rituals, services and burials.
Drive funeral vehicles when required by the funeral home.
Perform general building upkeep and vehicle maintenance tasks.
Handle other duties or special projects as needed.
