Job summary

Verve Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Attendant to enrich residents’ dining experiences in our care communities. You will serve meals, maintain dining room cleanliness, and support dietary needs and safety protocols.

Requirements include Grade 12, 2 years in a similar role, a Food Handler and an Alcohol Server certificate, and strong English communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of grade 12 education required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar serving position preferred.
• An understanding of food service and preparation is essential.
• Must have a valid regional safe food handler’s certificate.
• Must have a valid alcohol serving certificate.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Participates in continuous quality improvement standards.
• Serves meals in the dining room to residents and guests.
• Ensures dietary restrictions are followed and personal preferences met.
• Sets dining room tables and clears the dining room after meals.
• Maintains dining area cleanliness and sanitizes equipment as required.
• Follows infection control processes and participates in safety programs.
