Job summary

AgeCare is hiring a Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals, while maintaining a safe and sanitary dining environment. You will help with setting up service, delivering trays, and supporting kitchen cleanliness.

Requirements include a Food Handler’s Certificate and the ability to lift heavy items, with preference for experience with seniors. Bilingual ability is a plus and a Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Preference given to individuals with experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Must possess or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in set up and preparation for service of items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery at the end of seating.
• Help maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
