Job summary

Spark Lifecare is hiring a Developmental Services Worker (DSW) - Complex Care to provide one-to-one support in clients' homes and community settings, aligning care with each client's goals and care plan. You will assist with ADLs, safety, behavioral support, and meaningful activities to promote independence, while coordinating with families and professionals as needed.

The role values compassion, independence, and reliability, with a flexible caseload and schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
• Smartphone with a data plan.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support based on each client's needs and care plan.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal hygiene as required.
• Support safety and wellbeing during home- and community-based activities.
• Offer behavioural support and emotional regulation.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that encourage independence and participation.
• Follow individualized strategies established by the client's care team, family, or professionals where applicable.
