Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association in Toronto seeks a Program Coordinator to support the Community Development / Wellness team. The role involves coordinating Seniors Active Living Centre activities, managing program income, and delivering health education to diverse communities.

Located primarily at 300 Silver Star Blvd with additional sites, the role requires strong organization, language skills, and community outreach.

Formación

• Degree or Diploma in health, social science or related fields.
• First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Knowledge of community resources and services.
• Excellent customer service with strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead groups in activities.
• Proficient listening and coaching skills.
• High degree of judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Time management and organization with multiple priorities.
• Proficient in English; second language (Cantonese/Mandarin) is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Support the operations of Seniors Active Living Centre activities.
• Process daily program income.
• Manage inventory, petty cash, account subscriptions (e.g., Zoom).
• Provide onsite and mobile cultural and language-relevant activities at the centre and in surrounding communities.
• Conduct health education workshops to promote healthy aging.
• Develop connections with ethno-cultural communities and faith groups.
• Assist in other Wellness Program activities.
