Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Community Service Worker to provide direct care and support to individuals funded through Disability Services/PDD in Edmonton, AB. This permanent, full-time role works Sunday through Thursday, 2300–0700, supporting residents in Shared Living and Supportive Independent Living models.

You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and behavioral supports, while documenting progress and maintaining safety standards in a faith-based,

Qualifications

• Rehabilitation Practitioner Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
• Front line experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support based on individual’s needs such as personal care, CPI, medication assistance.
• Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, housekeeping, and community inclusion.
• Support site safety and infection control practices, complete documentation, and timesheets.
• Foster respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues; participate in team meetings and orientation for new staff.
