Job summary

Catholic Social Services is seeking a part-time weekend Community Disability Worker in Edmonton to join the St Marguerites team. You will assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living, including meals, personal care, and community access, while providing compassionate, client-centered care.

The role involves 16 hours weekly (Saturday and Sunday 3-11 pm) and requires a high school diploma; some qualifications/experience in Human Services are assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Diploma or degree in Human Services or Social Work asset.
• Experience or willingness to be trained on physical holds; NVCI completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and monitor/ report changes in behavior & health.
• Assist with implementing Behavior Support Plans.
• Access community recreation/leisure activities and secure transportation as needed.
• Attend appointments and secure transportation when needed.
• Follow ISP for individuals living in the home.
• Assist with daily living tasks and medication administration.
