Job summary

Catholic Social Services in Camrose, AB is seeking a Community Disability Worker I - Overnight to support adults with developmental disabilities in community settings. This casual/part-time role involves overnight shifts, including weekends, with 16 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 (Diploma/Degree asset), 6+ months' relevant experience, and valid First Aid; a vehicle with insurance and a valid license are required to transport clients. Competitive CAD hourly wages offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education; a Diploma/Degree in Disability Services (or equivalent) is an asset.
• Minimum 6 months experience with persons with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Standard First Aid Level C may be required prior to first day.
• Vulnerable Sector Check from RCMP or city police detachment.
• Clear and Current Drivers Abstract; a vehicle and class 5 license to transport clients.
• Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage; vehicle registration for insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities in community settings.
• Assist with daily living activities and social events, promoting dignity, independence and empowerment.
• Engage in community activities with focus on recreation and programs tailored to individual needs.
• Work across 24-hour operations; shifts include overnights and weekends.
