We are seeking a Community Support Worker for our "Hawkmount" group home, supporting individuals with diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, severe developmental delays, dementia, scoliosis, blindness, and deafness. The role involves supporting individuals with hygiene routines, meal prep, activities, chores, shopping, and medication administration. The position requires driving across Calgary to medical appointments and activities like swimming.
About You:
You are compassionate, attentive, and passionate about working with people with disabilities. You can provide personal care, facilitate social and recreational activities, advocate, and promote healthy lifestyles. You have knowledge of community events, are professional, proactive, and follow policies. You are solution-oriented, understand individual needs, and maintain professional boundaries. Your experience with disabilities enables you to develop and implement growth programs. You can manage administrative tasks effectively.
This permanent position is 32 hours/week at our NW Calgary "Hawkmount" home, with a starting wage of $21.19/hour, potential raises after evaluation, and benefits after three months.
