Job summary
House of Friendship in Waterloo Region seeks an experienced Community Services Manager to lead the Family Outreach program and drive integration across Community Services. You will supervise the Family Outreach Supervisor and program staff, coach teams, and partner with community organizations to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations.
The role emphasizes anti-racist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practices, along with responsible budgeting and reporting.
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in Social Sciences, Social Work, or related field.
- Minimum five years in program management or supervisory roles within social services.
- Experience leading diverse teams and managing partnerships with community stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operation, outcomes, and budget for assigned program portfolios.
- Coach and develop supervisors, staff, students, and volunteers.
- Ensure program policies, risk management, and safety standards are followed.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development.
- Foster community partnerships and represent portfolios at meetings.
- Report funding needs and help source grants and donations.
- Monitor performance outcomes and support continuous improvement.
