As part of the Department of Protective Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill one permanent, full-time Community Safety Officer (CSO) position. Under the direction of the Director of Protective Services, the Community Safety Officer is an appointed Special Constable, leading by example to work collectively, providing presence, and visibility throughout the community. The Community Safety Officer responds to all calls for service from the public. This position enforces municipal bylaws, the provincial acts under their appointment, as well as provides public education and awareness programs and services to ensure the protection of all residents, property, and employees.
