About the role

Canadian Blood Services seeks a Temporary full-time Community Recruiter to join our Collections Operations Ontario team.

The team supports blood collection efforts to ensure safe products that save lives daily. In this role, you will attend community events and festivals to engage with the public and promote Canadian Blood Services. This provides an opportunity to interact with community members and enjoy local activities.

Formula for success

  • Use your communication skills to educate the public about the importance of blood donation locally.
  • Build a contact database of interested community members for future engagement.
  • Work with volunteers to support awareness initiatives.
  • Identify and set up at events and festivals, managing activation booths.
  • Organize and maintain supplies for these booths.

Desired education and skills

  • Experience in sales, promotions, marketing, or public engagement.
  • Ability to initiate conversations and discuss opportunities at Canadian Blood Services.
  • Strong initiative and passion for the cause.
  • Some post-secondary education plus related experience or equivalent.
  • Interest in Sales, Communications, Marketing, or Public Outreach preferred.
  • Experience working with volunteers is an asset.
  • Comfort with using devices like tablets and laptops.
  • Experience with social media platforms.
