Job summary

VON in Ontario is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for student nutrition programs, working with schools to ensure smooth operations and building partnerships with local stakeholders. This role supports managers and coordinates day-to-day activities within VON's quality framework.

The position requires a Post Secondary Diploma in Health/Social Science and 2–3 years of related community/health care experience, plus strong organization,

Qualifications

• Post secondary diploma in Health/Social Science or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related experience in community and health-based care.
• 1-2 years of program planning and evaluation is an asset.
• Experience in volunteer administration and nonprofit coordination is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal program assessments and provide support to local student nutrition programs.
• Coordinate annual grant application process.
• Facilitate implementation of Ministry Program Guidelines and best practice standards.
• Develop and coordinate the delivery of program training workshops for staff and volunteers.
• Foster good working relationships with key stakeholders and community partners.
