Shoppers Drug Mart in Ontario is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to help dispense prescriptions and support pharmacy services. You will assist the pharmacist, handle prescription data entry, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging.

This role emphasizes customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment; prior pharmacy experience is preferred, along with a diploma in Pharmacy Assistant and strong attention to details.

Competenze

• High School Diploma required
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred
• Previous Pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong organizational, multitasking, problem solving and attention to detail

Mansioni

• Greet customers and gather prescription information per Standards
• Process prescriptions including counting, packaging and labeling per Standards
• Refer clinical inquiries to the Pharmacist
• Adjudicate third party billing and manage online accounts
• Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary
• Maintain cash register in the dispensary
• File completed documentation per Pharmacy Standards of Practice
