Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Operations professional to manage the on-duty pharmacy, provide patient and provider counselling, and dispense medications in a fast-paced setting.

You will maintain privacy, ensure accuracy of prescriptions, and collaborate with health care teams to deliver high-quality care. You will also handle workflow, inventory control, and documentation to meet regulatory standards and company policies, while upholding health, safety and training requirements

• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems a definite asset.

• Complete mandatory training and voluntary continuing education workshops, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty and provide consultation to customers and health care providers.
• Dispense medications and ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions.
• Maintain records and comply with privacy requirements and regulatory standards.
• Counsel on prescriptions and over-the-counter products and coordinate with health care professionals.
• Oversee workflow and inventory, including stock levels and drug orders.
• Ensure compliance with Controlled Drugs and Substances Act requirements and reporting.
