Job summary

ParaMed Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide community visits and assess abilities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors to facilitate function. You will work with pediatric in-home or school services and/or adults with health concerns, with flexible FT/PT/contract roles and mentorship available in selected locations.

Qualifications

Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing).
Mentorship available in selected locations.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of community resources available for clients and families.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare workers and community resources.
Analyze environmental factors affecting occupational performance and engagement.
Develop client-centered plans with clients and inter-professional teams and adjust services accordingly.
Apply evidence-based problem solving to address client needs.
Engage clients with a collaborative approach to reach mutual understanding of services.
