Job summary

The Salvation Army International in Canada is seeking a Community Ministry Worker to coordinate food services, ensuring compliance with the Canada Food Guide and health regulations. The role runs Monday to Thursday mornings, with responsibilities including sorting donations, assisting donors, and maintaining equipment.

You will support CFS/CMD operations, monitor fridge temps, supervise volunteers, and help with inventory and coffee station management.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of Secondary School Diploma; alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Safe Food Handling Certification (or willing to get)
• Minimum of two (2) years of prior related experience.
• Experience supervising volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food recovery and sort donations.
• Assist with janitorial duties and cleaning.
• Drive to pick up food and drop off items when volunteers are unavailable.
• Monitor fridge temperatures and inventory.
