Job summary

Atria Retirement Canada is seeking a Community Business Director to lead financial and business office functions within the community. You will coordinate HR activities with Regional Support, serve as manager-on-duty, and oversee billing, payroll, and vendor relations to support resident services.

The role requires a strong background in accounting/finance, budget analysis, and staff leadership; a valid driver’s license is preferred for on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
• Three or more years of work experience in business office management.
• Ability to perform budget analysis and variance reporting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects of the community and accounting functions.
• Coordinate on-site human resources activities with Regional Support staff.
• Serve as manager-on-duty on an as-needed basis.
• Direct accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
• Interview, hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff.
• Support onboarding requirements and payroll administration.
• Participate in month-end close and variance reporting.
• Deliver high levels of customer service in resident dining experiences.
