Job summary

The City of Thunder Bay is seeking a Customer Service & Sponsorship Coordinator to lead service delivery for Fort William Gardens, drive sponsorship and fundraising initiatives, and support marketing and event attraction for municipal venues. You will collaborate with partners, event promoters, and staff to deliver engaging community experiences.

Qualifications

• Fundraising, corporate sponsorship sales, advertising sales, procurement and grants administration experience.
• Strong written and oral communication; online communications and basic graphic design understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service delivery at Fort William Gardens, including ticketing operations and user-group relations.
• Develop sponsorship, fundraising, marketing and event-attraction campaigns with staff and volunteers.
• Secure large-scale entertainment events by coordinating with event promoters and production houses.
• Negotiate agreements with partners and manage public relations to ensure contract fulfilment.
• Coordinate advertising/sponsorship sales in division facilities (boards, signage, digital ads, naming rights).
• Maintain and update social media sites and the department website; respond to feedback.
