Job summary

Better Living Health and Community Services is seeking a friendly Bistro team member to provide excellent customer service and assist with food preparation. You will greet guests, take orders, handle payments, and support catering events while maintaining a clean kitchen area.

We value punctual, reliable individuals with good interpersonal skills and knowledge of safe food handling. Dress code includes long pants and closed-toe shoes, with gloves as needed to handle ready-to-eat foods.

Qualifications

• Punctual, reliable and patient.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service and food preparation skills are assets.
• Knowledge of safe food handling protocols is an asset.
• Wear appropriate attire (long pants, closed shoes) and maintain personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation when required (coffee, tea, soup, sandwiches, salads).
• Greet customers upon arrival and serve customers and clients in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Take Bistro orders.
• Accept payments, issue bills using the cash register system, and balance at the end of the shift.
• Prepare and assist with catering and special events requests. (Time will be set up according to type of catering service)
• Maintain a clean Bistro kitchen and cooking equipment.
