Job summary

Nature's Fare Markets in Penticton is seeking a Bistro Team Member to join our kitchen and grocery-forward team. The role offers a friendly, fast-paced environment with mornings to evenings and a focus on fresh, local, sustainable foods.

You will help prepare menu items, assist customers, maintain displays, and contribute to a welcoming store experience with a strong emphasis on quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and build connections with new and regular customers.
• Assist customers with their order and offer menu recommendations based on dietary needs.
• Prepare, make and serve menu items, including smoothies and juices.
• Use eye for detail to create attractive and inviting food displays.
• Keep kitchen area clean and organized using the ‘clean as you go’ method.
• Be a great team player, share knowledge, stay safe and have fun!

The successful candidatecan expect to work up to 24 hours per week, andwill be scheduled a combination of weekday/weekend/AM/PM shifts anywhere from 6:00am to 6:30pm

Regular Store Hours:

Mon – Sat 8:00am – 8:00pm
Sun 9:00am – 7:00pm

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Give a warm “hello!” to our customers – we like building connections with our new and regular customers and sharing a laugh along the way.
• Assist customers with their order which might include answering questions on our menu items and giving suggestions based on their dietary needs (don’t worry, we will train you on this!)
• Prepare, make and serve our menu items, including specialty smoothies and juices.
• Use your eye for detail to make food displays that are attractive and inviting.
• Using the ‘clean as you go’ method you keep kitchen area clean, tidy and organized. Teamwork makes the dream work!
• In other words, you will help others, share your knowledge on our amazing products, be safe, be a great team player and have fun!
