Job description

Title: Communications Specialist - Corporate Citizenship/Communications Analyst

Start date: ASAP

Location: Calgary

Time: 8 hrs. / day, 40 hrs/ week

Contract term: 1 year (with a possibility of extension)

Description:

The Corporate Citizenship/Communications Analyst supports internal communications, employee experience, community investment, and employee volunteering and giving strategies. This role reports to the Manager, Corporate Citizenship and Manager, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement within the Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) function.

The role focuses on building brand awareness, shaping trust, and supporting risk and reputation management through our Fueling Futures program, communication storytelling, and stakeholder engagement, aligned with our inclusion priorities. Specific Accountabilities
Corporate Citizenship
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for Corporate Citizenship activities.
  • Support communications for Corporate Giving and Employee Volunteering and Giving Program.
  • Assist with enterprise processes, governance, data management, and reporting.
  • Represent the company at internal and external events.
  • Support special projects and campaigns.
Corporate Giving
  • Engage with community partnerships and manage activation and representation.
  • Manage community investment data and ensure proper reporting and controls.
  • Collaborate with Brand and Digital Communications to ensure brand consistency.
Employee Volunteering and Giving Program
  • Maintain and promote the Benevity SPARK platform.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and facilitate campaigns.
  • Support communication efforts to promote the program.
Internal Communications
  • Develop and execute internal communication plans supporting business priorities.
  • Coordinate with the PACS team for alignment and effectiveness.
Digital Communications
  • Support governance and metrics reporting.
  • Manage content posting across digital channels.
  • Provide digital administrative support.
Employee Experience
  • Use storytelling to enhance employee engagement and brand awareness.
  • Stay updated on communication trends and best practices.

  • Manage strategies independently, measure and report on initiatives.
  • Support corporate strategies through internal engagement.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
  • 1-4 years of related experience.
  • Experience in large, multi-region companies and community initiatives.
Technical Skills
  • Strong organizational, writing, and editing skills.
  • Proficiency with Benevity platforms, MS Office, content management, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of CSR principles and experience with non-profits is a plus.

Working Conditions
