About the Role:

JSC is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to support the development and execution of engaging internal and external communications campaigns.

The Communications Coordinator will play a key role in shaping the voice of JSC. This role will focus on content creation, project management, and creating organizational alignment through storytelling. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling content and corporate messages for digital signage, email, newsletters, social media, website, onboarding materials and more.
  • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for internal and external use.
  • Maintain and update internal channels, website and social media platforms.
  • Develop and distribute internal communication campaigns and support new initiatives and employee events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source content and news, and steward approvals.
  • Write and edit various types of content, including company news and announcements, staff spotlights, and blog posts.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on engagement metrics to optimize communications.
  • Support and coordinate internal employee events and logistics.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Must be pursuing a post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in content creation, marketing, or communications.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with CMS (e.g., WordPress), email marketing, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint), SharePoint, and social media tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in photography and video editing software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid role based in Burlington, Ontario
