Job summary

Olympic Industries in North Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Commodity Trader Intern for a four-month term starting January 2027. This co‑op offers hands-on exposure to logistics, freight markets, and the fast-paced world of commodity trading.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree/diploma in business, economics, or related field.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with adaptability and urgency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve freight efficiency by tracking shipments, negotiating spot rates, and coordinating with carriers.
• Learn how transportation decisions shape trade outcomes alongside logistics and Traders.
• Research and prospect new freight partners.
• Participate in structured training to learn fundamentals of commodity trading.
• Build meaningful cross-department connections to expand networks.
