Qualifications

• Successful completion of at least first year of business/economics/finance or related degree.
• Basic market knowledge with keen interest in capital markets.
• Strong research abilities and analytical and communication skills.
• Extremely motivated with initiative to add value.
• Problem-solving, multi-tasking and prioritization under pressure.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Office hours aligned with global markets: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• CSC and CFA are assets; prior related work experience valued; Bloomberg/Reuters Eikon experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Researching news and information sources to develop consolidated reports and information.
• Creating morning notes, mid-day updates, and market-related notes for clients and internal use.
• Analyzing trading volumes and internal research to document activity.
• Supporting Corporate Access Team with data, events, etc.
• Completing various research projects including investment ideas and industry analysis.
• Liaising with Equity Sales Professionals and Traders on special assignments.
• Bringing ideas to improve processes on the trading floor.
