This is a specialized position within Commercial Underwriting that will assist in the oversight of the existing large commercial loans within the commercial mortgage portfolio. Majority of the large commercial loans are sourced through third party servicers. It includes conventional loans as well as CMHC insured loans. Loan sizes are typically large than $2,250,000. The Analyst, Large Commercial is primarily responsible for underwriting renewals and annual reviews for large commercial mortgages in accordance with on-going regulatory, risk and compliance requirements. Large commercial loans typically would require a more detailed analysis when compared to small commercial loans due to the loan size, variety of asset classes and locations, and the complexity of the sponsors loan structure. As such, the Analyst, Large Commercial will be required to complete a thorough review at each renewal / annual review. Additional credit related and administrative duties are also required to support management and regulatory requirements.
