Knight Insurance Services seeks an experienced Department Manager to lead the Commercial Lines Account Management team on-site. The role involves managing daily operations, supporting performance, and ensuring high-quality client service with limited direct client contact unless for escalated matters.

The position requires four years of commercial lines experience and a California P&C license, with proficiency in AMS360 and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of commercial lines insurance experience.
• Active California Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Proficiency with AMS360 and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach, and support the Commercial Lines Account Management team.
• Set expectations for performance, accountability, communication, and client service.
• Provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and address performance concerns as needed.
• Assign and balance workloads to maintain timely service and department productivity.
• Monitor workflow, accuracy, responsiveness, and service quality.
• Improve procedures and keep leadership informed of staffing, workflow, and client concerns.
• Oversee key account-servicing activities, including renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, policy reviews, cancellations, and claims support.
• Assist with complex or escalated client, coverage, carrier, and service matters.
• Ensure account records and activities are properly documented in AMS360.
• Maintain compliance with agency policies, carrier requirements, regulations, and industry practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of commercial lines insurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policies, terminology, and servicing procedures.
• Active California Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Proficiency with AMS360 and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or team-management ability.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and attention to detail.
