Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Hamilton, Ontario, is looking for an Account Manager focused on the Transportation sector. This role involves overseeing daily servicing for Commercial Lines clients, preparing various insurance documents, and analyzing coverage needs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience in commercial lines, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A post-secondary education related to the field is preferred. This is a full-time entry-level position with a salary range of $65,000 - $80,000.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year commercial lines experience, either from a brokerage or insurance company preferred.
  • R.I.B.O license and/or working towards C.I.P or C.A.I.B designations is an asset.
  • Interpersonal, strong communication and listening skills are crucial for this position.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Account Manager with a focus within the Transportation sector. In this role you will help our company succeed and grow by providing exceptional day-to-day service to Commercial Lines Transportation clients.

What will you do?
  • Oversee the day-to-day servicing of the book working with clients
  • Prepare Certificates of Insurance
  • Check and process policy documents, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
  • Process MVRs, driver abstracts, CVOR, etc.
  • Prepare and forward binders for renewals as instructed
  • Prepare and forward form letters and documents to clients and insurers
  • Process invoices
  • Review client’s current coverage and exposures, loss experience and analyze risk to determine the product/service requirements
  • Input and update claims and new client information
  • Assist Customer Service Brokers and/or Producers with client inquiries or rush assignments as requested
  • Know customers and fully understand their needs
  • Document all communications and interactions with clients, carriers and others
  • Address insured’s questions and concerns regarding policies, coverage, and premium payments promptly via phone, e‑mail, and written communication etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-year commercial lines experience, either from a brokerage or insurance company preferred
  • R.I.B.O license and/or working towards C.I.P or C.A.I.B designations is an asset.
  • Completed Post‑Secondary education in related field of study (college or university level)
  • Interpersonal, strong communication and listening skills are crucial for this position
