Job summary

VPAC Construction Group is seeking an Interior Designer to support the Commercial / Office Interiors team. You will be heavily relied on to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and deliver compelling design directions for projects.

Responsibilities include guiding design through the full design process, producing test-fit drawings, creating permit packages, and coordinating with architects, engineers and consultants to ensure continuity and alignment with client goals.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and related interior design software.
• Interior Design certificate or diploma required.
• 3–5 years of relevant Interior Design experience in commercial spaces.
• Knowledge of BC Building Code and permit submission requirements.
• Experience with Commercial Interior Design focused on workplace environments is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an eye for design detail.
• Ability to work independently within a busy, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Construction to guide design projects from concept to completion.
• Meet with clients to discuss needs, style preferences and space objectives.
• Produce test-fit drawings to illustrate space opportunities and assist preliminary budgeting.
• Create Architectural drawings (permit, tender, construction) including elevations and finishes.
